Rob Vogel Co-Chairs ABA Committee on Procurement Fraud

August 2009 – For the past year, Rob Vogel has co-chaired the Procurement Fraud Committee of the Public Contract Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA.)

At the Annual Meeting of the ABA in Chicago in August 2009, Mr. Vogel accepted the inaugural “Committee of the Year” award on behalf of the Committee.

This year, the Committee has been preparing best practices guidelines for implementing new rules that require government contractors to self- disclose potential misconduct to government officials. In addition, the Committee has held several meetings and panel discussions addressing the meaning and impact of the May 2009 amendments to the False Claims Act.
